   ~8/26/24-8/30/24~     8/26woke up at 6am to get ready to board the longest train ride ive ever taken  7-10 hours mcdonalds pancakes though so i was prepared  besides, i love road trips (when my motion sickness allows) was on the train until 7pm... almost turned into a cannibal i was so tired of that train  wasnt that miserable (for me at least. im sure my brother would disagree) these luggage carts were something else... we tipped it over trying to turn it because the wheels were just so stiff. made the smart decision to not use it again when it was time to check out of the hotel  aahh!!! at the hotel yayyyy we were on the 26th or 28th floor... i couldnt even see the ground looking out from the window it was already pretty late and im pretty sure this was when i was working on love&evil scans page:) and then went to sleep   8/27daiso haul!!!!!!!!ahhh maybe one of my fave parts from the entire trip bc everything was japanese prices (CHEAP) took us (my mom and i) a lot of trial and error trying to get here lol. wed start walking in one direction and realize we were going the wrong way and walk right back down the street we averaged ~19k steps every day      heres where i put them when i got back  regret not getting more there times square!!!! same day, we waited until dark to go for the neon lights :) it was so fun everywhere i looked there was something to look at the stuff in the pic- miniso, disney store, and idk if the minji shirt was a popup inside a store or its own thing got some deliiicccooouussss ice cream while walking around that gave me a stomach ache. worth it tho      8/28central park! so refreshing  since the weather wasnt exactly cool yet, the subway stations were steaming more than a sauna the weather up on earth was pretty perfect though. i think we went at the perfect time of year went to a manga store and lush in an underground market inside the stations. got azumanga daioh omnibus and sprayed stuff in my face     little italy/chinatown/lego/nintendo later we hit up little italy, chinatown, and rockefeller center! no pics from chinatown but i got a little wooden comb and mama got a jade err tassel thing for good fortune. im not too sure cant just walk by a barnes&noble so i got the vivienne westwood book    the lego store was so crowded, i couldnt stop to see anything... but! i got the plum blossom set. ive always wanted one of the flower ones (put it together with mom) and isabelle, and a zelda shirt for my dad, at the nintendo store    8/29met/kinokuniya went to the met today!! it was so giant and we walked so much just getting there that we left super early into our arrival. had the best hot dog and fries from a food cart in front of the giant stairs got so excited in kinokuniya i got dizzy... bought p5/p4/p3 cds, look back, 22-26, given art book and avogado6 art book most expensive haul |
